Star families

Starseed Walk-Ins

Starseeds are souls who are said to have lived many lives on other planets or in other star systems before choosing to come to Earth.

Some arrive by birth: the wanderers and volunteers. Others are said to arrive as walk-ins or soul braids, stepping into a life already underway because their gifts are needed now.

The call to serve

Dolores Cannon told the story memorably. Higher beings who wished to help Earth could not interfere from the outside, so a call went out across the universe for souls willing to help from the inside. Those who answered are said to have come in three waves.

  • The first wave were pioneers, born roughly from the late 1940s to the 1960s.
  • The second wave were gentle “antennas”, born roughly in the 1970s and 80s, who radiate light simply by being here.
  • The third wave are the new children, who arrive with their gifts close to the surface.

Wanderers

The Law of One describes Wanderers as souls from higher densities who take on the forgetting of human life so they can be of service. Many feel that they do not quite belong here, while carrying a deep love for this world.

Star lineages

Gifts and qualities often described for each star family, with the teachers associated.

Pleiadian

Heart-centered, warm, emotionally wise; healers and artists; drawn to harmony.

Teachers associated: Barbara Marciniak, Bringers of the Dawn (1992)

Sirian

Teachers and keepers of knowledge; linked to Egypt, Atlantis, water and dolphins; devoted and loyal.

Teachers associated: Patricia Cori, Sirian Revelations

Arcturian

Healers and visionary engineers; calm, clear and logical; love sacred geometry and innovation.

Teachers associated: Norma Milanovich, We, the Arcturians (1990); Edgar Cayce’s readings mention Arcturus as a gateway for souls

Andromedan

Free spirits; independent, inventive, drawn to freedom and new paradigms.

Teachers associated: Andromedan contact teachings

Lyran

Described as one of the oldest humanoid lineages; creative, courageous, often feline-associated.

Teachers associated: Lyssa Royal and Keith Priest, The Prism of Lyra (1989)

Many starseeds feel connected to more than one lineage. Teachers encourage each person to trust their own inner knowing about where they come from.

Starseeds, Indigos and Crystals

The starseed family overlaps lovingly with the Indigo Children (named by Nancy Ann Tappe, and popularized by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober in 1999) and the Crystal Children (Doreen Virtue, 2003). They are seen as generations of souls who came to bring new ways of living. Cannon’s second and third waves are often seen as the same soul family.

The mission

In these teachings, the mission is less a job than a way of being. Those who answer the call are described as:

  • Raising the frequency of the planet through love and presence
  • Acting as way-showers: going first through change and lighting the path for others
  • Healing, teaching, creating and building new communities
  • Anchoring the vision of a New Earth based on kindness, freedom and unity
